Conceptual Design & Approach is highly valued at SD Studio as we believe that it could benefit a project in both a Commercial and Operational sense...
Conceptual design boards (Re: Visual 1, Visual 2) ordered by client / contractor involved in design, construction and operation of extreme sports facilities.
Our client was intending to sell an extreme sports facility scheme to one of their Leisure and Entertainment clients owning a Holiday Resort close to the seaside and docks.
We have agreed to prepare a scheme in order to promote the ‘coastal – industrial’ character of the area nearby site and adopt a ‘thematic approach’ for our client’s facility to match the area’s identity.
Concept visuals (Re: concepts) produced to communicate design ideas and intentions for an experimental ‘Safe Heroin Injection & Rehabilitation’ Centre.
Initial idea was to use scenes from the movie ‘Trainspotting’ showing different ‘phases’ of a heroin addict’s life (i.e. going desperate, high, into comma, cold-turkey) and link these with proposed building’s different uses (i.e. safe injection area, treatment and rehabilitation sections.
Manipulation of initial movie-scenes over the concept process has generated principle plans, elevations and volumetric approach to the building.
